Authentic Philly Sandwiches in York, Pennsylvania
R&R’s first restaurant review is from a local favorite of ours found in York, Pennsylvania. Hefty Lefty’s features authentic Philadelphia style sandwiches, including hoagies, grinders, and most importantly, cheesesteaks (whiz wit, please)!
Because of both the quality AND quantity of Hefty Lefty’s, they have become increasingly more popular in the Central Pennsylvania area – and that is not likely to change. If you find yourself around York, do yourself a favor and grab one of their sandwiches for lunch (if you get the Hefty size, you can probably turn that into two lunches). You won’t be disappointed.
The rolls, the base for all great tasting sandwiches, are delivered fresh from Conshohocken (a Philly suburb) on a daily basis. These rolls are PILED with high quality meat, cheeses, and other fresh ingredients. As you can tell in the pictures, they don’t short you on any sandwich you’re paying for.
Rating: Easy five stars – there’s really not much else to say without trying one for yourself.
