This delicious, easy-to-make Homemade Mixed Berry Sauce is crafted with a lush blend of blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Homemade Mixed Berry Sauce Ingredients
- 3/4 cup of blueberries
- 3/4 cup of blackberries
- 3/4 cup of raspberries
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup of water
- 1 lemon wedge (quarter)
Homemade Mixed Berry Sauce Directions
- In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients over medium-high heat; stir to mix
- Allow mixture to heat up for 1 minute; using a masher or the back of a large slotted spoon, press firmly down and crush berries; stir frequently
- Turn heat to low-medium and continue cooking for 5 minutes; berry sauce mixture will become more consistent and cohesive; crush berries as needed and continue stirring
- Before removing saucepan from heat, squeeze in juice from 1 lemon wedge, stir to mix; allow to simmer for 30 seconds
- Remove saucepan from heat and allow to cool before serving on your favorite dessert!
Note: This homemade mixed berry sauce can be made with any combination of your favorite berries. The key is to have between 2-3 total cups of berries.
