Turn up the flavor with our homemade Pineapple Habanero Wing Sauce – a perfect blend of tropical sweetness and fiery heat!
Pineapple Habanero Wing Sauce Ingredients
- 2-6 habanero peppers, more or less for heat level preference
- 1/2 cup sweet onion, diced
- 1 cup diced pineapple
- 1/2-1 cup pineapple juice
- 2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Yield: Makes approximately 1 quart
Directions
- Remove stems from habaneros and finely chop. For less heat, remove seeds and de-vein (remove white inner part).
- Heat a large drizzle of oil and 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter in a medium pot over medium-high heat until butter is melted.
- Add chopped habanero peppers, diced onion, minced garlic and 2 teaspoons of kosher salt; cook until softened.
- Add diced pineapple and pineapple juice.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
- Place cooked habaneros, onion, garlic and pineapple in a food processor with apple cider vinegar.
- Blend/process until smooth, it’s ok if there are still pineapple chunks.
- Pour sauce over chicken wings and toss to coat; or allow to cool before transferring to jars to refrigerate.
Hint: If you want to cut the heat, add more apple cider vinegar or sugar!
