HelloFresh’s Spice is Nice Turkey Couscous Bowls is a unique dish that the ordinary home cook probably would not think to make. So, what did R&R think?
Prep, Cooking and Cleanup
A little more than the standard amount of effort required for prep, cooking, and cleanup. There are several moving parts occurring simultaneously, so some multi-tasking skills are required (veggies, couscous, and the ground turkey will all be cooking at the same time).
Ingredients & Sauces
This should be slightly higher, but we were missing both the sour cream and shaved almonds. Thankfully, HelloFresh’s customer service is quite understanding when items are missing, and usually issue some type of refund or credit. The other seasonings contributed to a very balanced and complementary taste for the meal. We also had some extra sour cream on hand, so we were still able to make the sauce.
Taste
The flavor profile was light, fragrant and fresh. The carrots and zucchini added some needed texture to the couscous. The ground turkey had a ton of flavor from the Turkish spice seasoning, soy sauce, and fresh garlic. Overall, the ingredients worked well together and resulted in a good tasting meal.
Rating
Aside from the missing ingredients, we were satisfied with the overall meal. HelloFresh’s Spice is Nice Turkey Couscous Bowls were both refreshing and filling, and included various fresh ingredients that complimented one another. It was a unique flavor experience that we would likely try again.
